Most people are aware that drinking water has seemingly endless benefits. However, in regards to training, proper hydration is crucial for performance and recovery.

When do you need to drink electrolyte beverages?

As a rule of thumb, the NCAA recommends consuming electrolyte sport drinks if you're working out for longer than 60 minutes or if you're a "salty sweater".
