Who is Murph and why do we do Murph every Memorial Day Weekend?

Lt. Michael P. Murphy was a well decorated Navy SEAL, but you may recognize his name from Lone Survivor. He was one of the soldiers killed in action during Operation Red Wings. Every Memorial Day people all over the country complete MURPH to honor the ultimate sacrifice Lt. Murphy and other fallen soldiers have made for this country. MURPH is a "Hero" CrossFit workout named after Lt. Murphy. Formerly known as Body Armor, the "MURPH Challenge" is 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 air squats, 1 mile run for time. Some complete the workout with a 20 lbs weight vest to simulate the body armor Lt. Murphy used to complete the workout in.

Happy Memorial Day from Godspeed and Thank You to all who have served and continue to serve our country!
